About Us
We’re developing Foundry, a next-generation 3D factory automation game focused on exploration, complex production systems, and player-driven creativity. Our small, highly collaborative team blends strong engineering foundations with thoughtful design to build a world where players can create massive, interconnected production networks.
We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer who can take ownership of major systems and content. If you love designing deep progression systems, enjoy collaborating across disciplines, and want to help shape the direction of an ambitious automation game, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design of new game systems, mechanics, and progression features for Foundry.
- Create clear design documentation and communicate requirements to engineering, art, and production.
- Work closely with programmers and artists to ensure features meet design intent and align with technical and artistic constraints.
- Drive features from concept to implementation, iteration, and refinement.
- Participate in high-level vision discussions, proposing systems that expand depth, usability, and long-term player engagement.
- Analyze existing gameplay loops and suggest improvements grounded in player experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Credited as a Senior or Lead Game Designer on at least one shipped commercial title. (required)
- Substantial playtime (hundreds of hours) in major factory-automation games. (required)
- Strong understanding of 3D gameplay systems, progression, and moment-to-moment player experience.
- Experience writing clear design docs, specs, and feature requirements.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with engineering and art teams to guide implementation.
- Ability to think both systematically (production chains, progression, balance) and creatively (fantasy, world feel, player motivation).
- Self-driven, organized, and able to take ownership of complex systems.
Why Join Us
- Work on an ambitious factory automation game with a dedicated and growing community.
- Fully remote studio with team members across North America, Europe, and Oceania.
- High-impact role where your design decisions directly shape the player experience.
- Flexible, creative environment that values ownership, clarity, and collaboration.
